Black Jambhala wins final leg Challenge

KUALA LUMPUR,  17 December 2006

Unheralded BLACK JAMBHALA silenced the big guns to win the third leg of the SLTC Juvenile Million Challenge for three and four-year-olds over 1800m at Sungei Besi here today.

The four-year-old black Australian gelding by Way Of Light out of the Rahy mare Foreign Lover did not contest the first two legs which were staged over shorter journeys.

BLACK JAMBHALA’s two victories prior to today have been achieved in lowly Class 5 company but trainer Leslie Khoo obviously fancied his chances over the distance as his charge had scored over 2000m back in September.

BLACK JAMBHALA, ridden by Leong Yoon Fei, justified his inclusion to beat JOKER CLASSIC and TRIPLE BOOM.
