Perak Turf Club introduces scheme

IPOH,  21 April 2006

THE Perak Turf Club (PRTC) will implement a Horse Runners Scheme (HRS) beginning in Ipoh tomorrow.

The HRS is similar to the one introduced by the Selangor Turf Club (SLTC) recently and all horses based in Ipoh are eligible under the scheme.

In a race with 10 or less starters, all except the first, second, third and last placed horses will qualify under this scheme.

In the event of a race with 11 or more starters, all except the first, second, third and
last two placings, will be eligible.

For the PRTC races, a sum of RM500 will be paid to the owner as credit rebate when his horse qualifies. This credit rebate will offset the training bill charged by his trainer.

The trainer in turn will receive this credit rebate from the club. This credit rebate shall be subjected to deduction or offset against any outstanding amount owing to the PRTC.

For the PRTC races, a sum of RM200 will be paid to the trainer as credit rebate when his horse qualifies. This credit rebate will be subjected to deduction or offset against any outstanding amount owing to the PRTC.

For the SLTC and Penang Turf Club (PNTC) races, a sum of RM250 will be paid to the owner as credit rebate when his horse qualifies. This credit rebate will offset against the training bill charged by his trainer.

The trainer in turn will receive this credit rebate from the club. This credit rebate is subjected to deduction or offset against any outstanding amount owing to the PRTC.

For the trainer, RM100 will be paid as credit rebate when his horse qualifies.
