Affandi Taib was in seventh heaven at Kranji tonight when he landed his first career win.

It was the 51st ride for the Penang-born apprentice on ROYAL PARADE in the Class 5 - 1200m sprint on the fibresand track and despite the pressure on him to do well, he kept his cool to lead most of the way for comfortable win.

ROYAL PARADE (4 b.nz.g Sakura Seeking - Perfect Return by Plewperfect) is something of a fibresand track specialist as his two wins to date and his recent placings have been on the surface.
