Australian jockey Noel
Callow booted home four winners at Kranji today to bring his tally to 101
for the season, the first time a jockey has breached the century mark in
Singapore.
Starting the day on 97
wins, Callow got down to business quickly to win on CARRY ON SMILE (Carry
The Flag - Lucys Loot by Star Of The Magi) in the opening event, then took
LION CITY HERO (Mellifont - Melody Tempo by Red Tempo) to his first win in
24 months.
The historic moment for
Callow came on the aptly-named ROYAL CROWN (Stark South - Reinette by Dahar)
who notched his third win in 11 starts.
Callow wound up the day
scoring on LIM'S FIGHTER (Flying Spur - Sky Watch by Star Watch) and with
nine race meetings before the season ends, he looks likely to set a record
which will stand the test of time.
