Singapore discard CHEYENNE
DANCER completed a hat-trick of victories in Malaysia when he scored a
runaway win in the RM350,000 Malaysia 2007 Magic Millions Classic here
today.
The 1200m race for three
and four year-olds graduates of Magic Millions sales was postponed from the
Sprint Trophy meeting in September.
CHEYENNE DANCER, despite
not having a run for three months, proved too classy for his rivals, romping
home by five and a quarter lengths, ending the hopes of the heavily-backed
PENANG WONDER (Sequalo - Wall's Gift by Mukddaam) and the favourite JUG FULL
(West Quest - Broadway Allusion by Aliocha).
CHEYENNE DANCER had a
promising start to his career in Singapore when he notched up two wins and
two placings in his first four starts. But after a series of four unplaced
outings he was transferred to trainer Frank Maynard.
Maynard did a superb job of
bringing the four-year-old back to form and CHEYENNE DANCER is now unbeaten
in Malaysia.
It was the first victory in
the Magic Millions Classic for Maynard after being "unlucky on two occasions
in the past", according the former Perth trainer.
