WORLD DELIGHT and GRADUATE
BOY staged a thrilling finish to the S$200,000 Three Rings Trophy over
1400m at Kranji today, providing trainer Steven Burridge a 1-2 finish in the
Singapore Group 3 race for three and four year olds.
WORLD DELIGHT (4 ch.nz.g
Mellifont - Lady Anne by Grosvenor), ridden by Luke Currie, prevailed by a
short head to record his sixth win in 15 starts.
Ryan Plumb, narrowly beaten
on GRADUATE BOY, bounced back to score on ROYAL SUIT (4 b.a.g King's Best -
Jervaux by Slavic), also trained by Burridge, for the apprentice's second
win in two days in Singapore.
Noel Callow, however,
continued to set the pace in the premiership with his ninth win of the
season on GAMGEE (6 br.nz.g Maroof - Leica Ecstasy by Lanfranco).
