Winner Circle and Miss Posh disqualified

A winner and second-placed horse have been disqualified from their respective races as a result of positive swaps.

Last Friday, WINNER CIRCLE, first past the post in a Class 5 - 1100m sprint on the fibresand in Singapore on May 25, was disqualified after his urine/blood sample revealed the presence of Glycopyrrolate, prohibited substance under the MRA Rules of Racing.

His trainer Tan Hor Khoon was fined a sum of S$30,000 and was advised of his right of appeal.

In terms of Rule 134(10), WINNER CIRCLE was disqualified from the race.

In Penang yesterday, trainer P Roslan was fined RM10,000 at the conclusion of an inquiry after the urine/blood sample of MISS POSH positive to “Oxyphenbutazone”, a metabolite of “Phenylbutazone”, and a prohibited substance under MRA Rules.

MISS POSH had finished second to HISTORIAN in a Restricted Maiden, Div 1 - 1100m sprint over the straight course in Ipoh on April 28.

In terms of MRA Rule 134(10), MISS POSH was also disqualified from the race.
