Emperor Commands takes MRA
Cup

EMPEROR COMMANDS has made
it second time lucky in the RM300,000 Malayan Racing Association (MRA) Cup
staged over 1400m at Sungei Besi here today.
The Australian
five-year-old by Commands out of the St Jude mare Once Upon A Time was one
of several Malaysian based horses who made the trip to Kranji to contest the
MRA sponsored last year but was unplaced behind Singapore's top sprinter WHY
BE.
On his return, the Leslie
Khoo trained gelding managed a win in Class 2 but struggled to score again
after that, until today when he snatched a thrilling win from the useful
LIANG XIN, winner of the Sultan Gold Vase in 2005. JERAM SPECIAL showed a
return to form to finish third.
It was the sixth win in 31 starts for
EMPEROR COMMANDS.
