Another big win for Summer Fiesta

PENANG,  5 May 2007

SUMMER FIESTA captured the Tunku Abdul Rahman Anniversary Cup  for the second time in three years with an easy win in the 1400m feature for Malaysian breds today.

Since his win here in 2005, the Posen gelding has been the top performer in the big races for Malaysian breds with back to back wins in the Wira Malaysia Cup.

Last season, SUMMER FIESTA had to carry 60kg in the Anniversary Cup but with a lighter impost today, he had no problem strolling to a comfortable win.

KINGSTON CITY (3 b.a.g Kbenjar - Whiskey Heart by Heart Of Darkness) made amends after his astonishing failure last time out to register a runaway win in the Class 4, Div 2 - 1200m sprint.

In January, KINGSTON CITY romped home by 13 lengths for his maiden win but trailed the field badly in March, only to have the jockey disqualified three years and fined RM50,000

Punters were dealt two early shocks in the day's programme.

TRUE FIGHTER (6 b.a.g Desert Prince - Beyond Price by Imposing) bounced back after several disappointing runs to take the opening race to pay RM223.

Two races later, SUCCESS WONDERFUL (4 b.a.m Real Quiet - Spring Bluff by Danehill) showed up for the first time in 12 starts to pay RM212.
