Vorster

Popular South African riders Robbie Fradd and Barend Vorster will remain in Singapore for the next 12 months after they have been granted 12-month freelance licences by the Singapore Turf Club.

Fradd, 43, is currently sitting second on the premiership with 64 winners for the season and recently added the Group 3 Committee’s Prize (Recast) to his name along with the Group 1 Kranji Mile earlier in the year when he rode SETEMBRO CHOVE to a memorable victory. Fradd goes to scale at 52kgs.

Barend Vorster, 30, has been a regular face at Kranji for the last three and a half years and has consistently performed at a high level, winning the title in 2004.

He is currently sitting third on the premiership with 58 wins and has been successful at Group level on three occasions this year, winning the Group 1 Lion City Cup, Group 3 Fischer Stakes and Group 3 4YO Sprint, all on the Laurie Laxon-trained WHY BE. Vorster goes to scale at 50kgs.
