Popular South African
riders Robbie Fradd and Barend Vorster will remain in Singapore for the next
12 months after they have been granted 12-month freelance licences by the
Singapore Turf Club.
Fradd, 43, is currently sitting second on the premiership with 64 winners
for the season and recently added the Group 3 Committee’s Prize (Recast) to
his name along with the Group 1 Kranji Mile earlier in the year when he rode
SETEMBRO CHOVE to a memorable victory. Fradd goes to scale at 52kgs.
Barend Vorster, 30, has been a regular face at Kranji for the last three and
a half years and has consistently performed at a high level, winning the
title in 2004.
He is currently sitting third on the premiership with 58 wins and has been
successful at Group level on three occasions this year, winning the Group 1
Lion City Cup, Group 3 Fischer Stakes and Group 3 4YO Sprint, all on the
Laurie Laxon-trained WHY BE. Vorster goes to scale at 50kgs. |
