Richard Lines relocates to
Kuala Lumpur KUALA LUMPUR, 4 September 2007 |

Come the end of this month, the Penang Turf Club will be left with just seven trainers being based at its premises. The Malayan Racing Association announced today that it was officially notified by trainer Richard Lines yesterday that the Englishman will be relocating his stables from Penang to the Selangor Turf Club on Sept 30. With Maynard's departure in July, also to the Selangor Turf Club, there will be no expatriate trainer remaining in the roster in Penang. Lines began his racing career as an apprentice jockey in Australia before moving back to England. He also rode with success in Malaysia and Singapore before he hung up his boots. Lines went through the ranks in Malaysia before he was granted a trainer's licence and set up base in Penang. |
