Two months into her
Singapore stint, Linda Meech finally notched her first winner at Kranji when
he partnered HAPPY EVERYBODY to an all-the-way win in the Raffles Hotel
Singapore Initiation - 1200m sprint today.
Meech had started her
Singapore campaign promisingly with a second in her debut ride, but has to
wait for 42 more before finally breaking the ice.
“It’s such a big relief to
get this first win out of the way. Let’s hope it will open up the door to
more wins now,” said Meech. "It’s been a huge shock to the system coming
here as I was used to riding winners every week back in Australia.
“But I knew my turn would come eventually,
and it did today as I was on a good horse."
It was also a maiden win for HAPPY
EVERYBODY (Commands - Induct by Spartacus) who had raced five times in
Melbourne for two seconds at Sandown and Moonee Valley.
