LIM'S OBJECTIVE staves off the
challenge of SETEMBRO CHOVE

Top of his class in the
Three-Year-Old Challenge series this season, LIM'S OBJECTIVE has made the
transition to being Singapore Group 1 winner after a narrow victory in the
S$500,000 Raffles Hotels & Resorts Cup over 1800m at Kranji here today.
Ridden by regular jockey K
B Soo, LIM'S OBJECTIVE (O'Reilly - Hasty Bird by Bluebird) outlasted last
start Kranji Mile winner SETEMBRO CHOVE to notch his seventh win in 11
starts.
LIM'S OBJECTIVE won two of
the three legs of the Three-Year-Old series and was narrowly beaten into
second in the other.
His unplaced runs in the
Jumbo Jet Trophy and Kranji Mile prior to today were the only times he had
been "out of the money".
It was the third win in the Cup for trainer
John Meagher, after MAYO'S MUSIC in 2004 and LIM'S CLASSIC last year.
For owner Lim's Stable, it was a consecutive
Raffles Cup success after LIM'S CLASSIC.
