ONCEUPONATIME, ridden for the first time by Ronnie Stewart, revelled in the wet to capture the S$200,000 Magic Millions Juvenile Championship over 1200m at Kranji here tonight.

A runaway winner by 10 1/2 lengths in soft going last month, the New Zealand colt by Van Nistelrooy out of Scarlet Runner (by Kingdom Bay) again found the soft track condition to his liking as he came from midfield to beat the favourite HANDSOME JAZZ by half-a-length.

The win provided former Hong Kong champion trainer, Englishman David Hill his first group success in Singapore.

Hill said of ONCEUPONATIME: "Whatever he is now, he will be twice as good in a year's time and a year again after that. He is going to develop into a very nice horse."
