LIM'S CONNECTION renewed
partnership with jockey Eric Legrix after two starts and quickly returned to
form to claim the S$75,000 The New Paper Trophy (Kranji Stakes C - 1400m) at
Kranji here today.
The five-year-old's last
three victories have been achieved with the Frenchman in the saddle and the
pair reigned supreme once again, although LIM'S CONNECTION (Catbird -
Kayzarana by Generous) was hard pressed to defeat SUPERB by a short head.
PROTEGE (Montjeu - Elusive
Quarry by Zabeel) also returned to form after three outings to win the
S$75,000 Shin Min Cup (Class 3 - 1400m), the other feature race of the
afternoon.
Ronnie Steward took riding
honours with a treble while there was a huge upset in the last event when
MORE TO WIN registered his first win of the season to pay $505 for a win.
