Lim's Fighter too strong in Kranji Sprint

LIM'S FIGHTER holds off ALWAYS FAST to win the Kranji

LIM'S FIGHTER, who went down to WHY BE by half a length in the Merlion Trophy three weeks ago, came into his own to record his first group success in the $200,000 Kranji Sprint over 1200m at Kranji here today.

The Australian gelding by Flying Spur out of Sky Watch (by Star Watch) has been in a rich vein of form of late, winning five and placed twice in his last seven outings.

That form continued today when, ridden by Din Azis, he defeated ALWAYS FAST by half a length to register his 10th career win.

The day's races started on a shock note when GALLERIA (Pentire - Soundoration by Sound Reason) broke through for his first win in four starts to pay $870 for a win.
