Australian apprentice Amy
Herrmann concluded her two-week stint in Singapore with a double tonight,
after having scored in her second ride at Kranji last Saturday.
Indentured to David Balfour
in Adelaide, her maiden trip overseas is part of a scholarship she won for being Dux of the
Thoroughbred Racing South Australia’s Apprentice Academy.
Herrmann began the evening
winning on CHILLI PADI (Bellotto - Manly Belle by Star Watch) who followed
up on his debut third to register an easy win.
She had three placings
before saluting the judge again, piloting home FORTUNE WARRIOR (Viking Ruler
- Danzalota by Danzatore) before dashing to the airport to catch a flight
home.
Noel Callow, however, took
riding honours when he booted home three winners, something he did regularly
when setting a new riding record last season.
