Leslie Khoo, the former MRA champion jockey-turned-trainer who shifted his stables from Ipoh to his home city Singapore at the start of this season, has finally saddled his first winner at Kranji.

JOE AND JAYZEECA (Mellifont - Ocean Princess by Prince Of Praise), ridden by Saimee Jumaat, battled gamely to win the Class 4 - 1400m for his third win in 31 starts.

But it has been one and a half years since JOE AND JAYZZECA last greeted the judges. Hoping for a change of luck, his owners applied to rename him CEPAT LARI WINS which will take effect on Wednesday.

But both JOE AND JAYZEECA and Khoo have enjoyed the change of fortunes ahead of the date.

For Khoo, it surely means more winners ahead for him as he slowly and surely builds up a good team at Kranji.
