Tiang strikes again with Century Escort

Buying American has paid off for Tiang Kim Choi. The Penang based trainer recently replenished his string with a host of youngsters from the United States.

Following BLACK GENIUS' win in the first Penang heat of the 2009 Da Ma Cai Malaysia 3YO Championship, CENTURY ESCORT followed up with a hard-fought victory in the second of two heats over 1200m today.

CENTURY ESCORT (Bold Truth - Spanish Vixen by Silent Fox), unplaced in his first three starts, showed vast improvement to down the favourite, Malaysian bred E-MISSION by a head.

LAPIDADO (Green Means Go - Lady Saratoga by Saratoga Six) found the end of a long lane when he coasted home by 10 lengths in a Class 5 - 1700m handicap.

It was the maiden win in 24 starts on our shores for the Argentinean bred who managed two wins in his home country before coming out to Singapore and later moved to Malaysia.
