CLASS ACT has been just as
her name suggests after a change of name from OUR POLLY.
Since racing under her new
name, the New Zealand mare has been unbeaten in three starts, culminating
with her runaway victory in the New Zealand Bloodstock Trophy (Class 4 -
1700m) here today.
Ridden by H K Cheng, CLASS
ACT (Brocco - Classy Polly by Sky Classic) defied a promotion to win drawing
away by 2 1/4 lengths.
Prior to October, the Roy
Rogers-trained CLASSIC ACT had won just twice in 27 starts, with a win each
in 2007 and 2008.
Meanwhile, TURF SPEC (Magic
Of Money - Bonhomie Gal by Bletchley Park) created up big upset when she
captured the NSF Queen Of The Turf for fillies and mares graduates of the
National Premier Sale over 1400m. It was only her second win in 11 starts
