Duric steals thunder with treble

In just his second meeting at Kranji, Caulfield Cup winning jockey Vladimir Duric took the Singapore scene by storm today when he booted home three winners from six rides.

Showing the skills that took him to victory on MASTER O’REILLY at Caulfield, Duric rode a copy-book race in his first ride of the afternoon on MASTER KEY (Key Business - Rushing by Pembroke), with the four-year-old showing up for the first time in four starts to win Initiation - 1200m sprint.

Duric then showed patience early and was rewarded when ARIEM (Encosta De Lago - Close Your Eyes by Geiger Counter) romped home by four lengths in the Graduation - 1400m event.

Duric wound up the afternoon with another easy victory astride ARANDA (Bel Esprit - Orchid Lady by Centro), sent out odds-on favourite in the Class 4 - 1200m handicap.

Said Duric after the treble: "It's always good when you come to a new place to get off to a good start. I couldn't be happier with the start I've had."
