After scoring back-to-back
wins last year, MAGIC LEG (St Petersburg - Plex by Sir Dapper) had to wait
12 months before greeting the judges again.
The five-year-old's return
to form came in the S$75,000 The New Paper Trophy for Class 3 horses over
1400m at Kranji here tonight, where he gave a gutsy performance, coming from
well off the pace to score by a short head from GUTSY PRINCE.
In the other sponsored
event tonight, GOOD FEEL (Hunza Court - Gleaming Day by Gleam Machine)
easily accounted for five rivals to win the S$95,000 Shin Min Cup (Class 2 -
1400m).
It was the sixth win in 11
starts for the five-year-old whose career had been interrupted by a 15-month
spell since early last year. Whatever his problems, GOOD FEEL has returned
stronger than ever, winning four of five starts since resuming.
