Tuxedo Moon set new record in Cup victory

TUXEDO MOON marked his sixth consecutive victory with another course record on the polytrack and a trophy to his name at Kranji here today.

Eight days ago, the four-year-old rewrote the 1100m mark with a time of 1:5.3.

With John  Powell back to partner him after missing out on his last outing, TUXEDO MOON (Stravinsky - Jennifer Rush by Prince Echo) trashed his rivals by four and a quarter lengths in the RDA Cup (Class 2 - 1200m).

In the process, he clocked 1:10.6, slashing 0.3 second off the previous best set by ROCKET MAN last month.

The Singapore Turf Club lent the Riding for the Disabled Association Singapore (RDA) the platform to raise fund with today's races. $100,000 as raises from the sale of donation lunch tables and the guest-of-honour, New Zealand High Commissioner Martin Harvey presented the prizes for the RDA Cup to the winning connections.

Three sponsors for the afternoon also have a race named after them.
