Ntini runaway winner in 4YO Sprint

NTINI, whose promising career in Singapore was interrupted by injury, has bounced back to register a runaway win in the S$200,000 Singapore Four-Year-Old Sprint over 1200m at Kranji today.

Ridden by Vlad Duric, NTINI (Johannesburg - Delia by Geiger Counter) came from just off the pace to defeat last-start winner BRITISH NAVY by three and three quarters lengths in the Singapore Group 3 event.

NTINI, who started 11 times for three wins in Australia, scored in his first outings in Singapore, and chalked up four second consecutive seconds before an injury injury forced him to the sidelines for seven months.

The Michael Freedman-trained gelding returned to racing after a seven-month break with an eye-catching fifth nine days ago and he showed the benefit of that outing to win as he liked today.

NTINI was the third of four fabulous winners for Duric who only recently granted a year's extension to his permit to ride in Singapore.
