Mexican Rose maintains unbeaten record

It's four out of four for MEXICAN ROSE (Volksraad - Down View by Gone West) after the filly scored a smashing win in the Class 2 - 1200m sprint at Kranji tonight.

With regular jockey Saimee Jumaat astride, MEXICAN ROSE was content to set behind WEEKLY CLUB and DR LEMON, who disputed the lead and set a cracking pace, before racing past them to win by three lengths.

MEXICAN ROSE won two of three starts in New Zealand before coming to Singapore, winning the Juvenile Championship in her second start here.

MEXICAN ROSE was the third leg of a treble for Saimee who earlier kicked home MODEL CITIZEN (Honours List - Clay Model by Clay Hero) and BETTER THAN EVER (French Deputy - Songfest by Unbridled's Song).

RICOCO (Put It Back - Giggi Fazi by Bright Again), winner of five races last season, bounced back to form to win the Mandai Classic Stakes, a mini feature for stayers over 2000m.
