Trainer Roslan dies from heart attack

Penang based trainer Roslan Pawanteh passed away after suffering a heart attack at the General Hospital in Alor Setar yesterday. He was 51.

Roslan was in Alor Setar visiting a relative in hospital when complained of chest pains and died around 3.30pm. He is survived by a wife and four children.

Born in Penang, Roslan began his career in 1974 as a stable-hand and had worked under several top trainers.

In 2001, he was granted an assistant trainers licence and was attached to several trainers before getting his full licence in 2006.
