Apprentice Ruzaini bin Supien,
who won his Malaysian debut on WAIT THE TIME two weeks ago, did not take
long to make his mark in Singapore.
Invited by Steven Burridge
to ride in the republic for the first time, Ruzaini rewarded the trainer's
faith by landing GOLD HELP in the Class 4, Div 2 - 1400m handicap in his
second race at Kranji tonight.
GOLD HELP (Dangerous -
Poniard by Lake Coniston) won four races last year but has not tasted
success since November.
New trainer David Kok, who
saddled his first winner with FIRST AVENUE last Sunday, added another
success to his name when BREADWINNER (El Moxie - Edgecliff by Sea Anchor)
took the last event to end a 15-month drought.
The evening's races began
on a shock note when COOL CADILLAC (Brocco - The Dame by Noble Bijou),
unplaced in his debut last month, won the Maiden - 1800m handicap to pay
$303 for a win.
