Apprentice Ruzaini Sofian,
who has been most impressive since winning his Malaysian debut last month,
followed up on his double yesterday to land three winners with EMPEROR
POWER, WHY WHY WEST and HUMBLE PRINCE here today.
It was first career treble
and brought his tally to 11 wins in eight weeks.
Ruzaini prevailed
in a photo-finish when EMPEROR POWER (Second Empire - Satan's
Smile by Carry A Smile) scored by a nose in a Maiden - 1100m sprint.
WHY WHY WEST seems to be
getting better with age. Fresh from her victory in
the Fashion On The Turf for fillies and mares a fortnight ago, the
seven-year-old followed it up to win a Class 4 - 1100m sprint.
Installed odds-on favourite
after her impressive win last time out, WHY WHY WEST (Spartacus - Lover's
Chariot by Zephyr Zip) took the lead in
the home stretch before holding out to win by a neck for her fourth win in
29 starts.
Ruzaini then wound up a
superb afternoon when he took HUMBLE PRINCE (My Halo - Incanto by Magic
Ring) to his second win in three starts in the last event.
