Superb showing in Racing Writers Stakes

SUPERB goes to the line on a tight hold to win the Racing

Consistent SUPERB captured the inaugural Racing Writers Stakes, a tribute to the contribution of racing journalists in the sport's growing prominence in this region.

Yet to finish out of board, the four-year-old SUPERB (High Yield - Love Dream by Fairy King) made all the running  to win the Class 3 - 1400m handicap by two and three quarters lengths, leaving a couple of very good horses in his wake. It was the fourth win in nine starts.

There was a huge upset in the Class 5 - 1000 sprint on the polytrack when GIRO (King Of Kings - Escambia by Dolphin Street) broke through for his maiden win to pay $355 for a win.
