Sixth consecutive title for trainer Laurie Laxon

Rank outsider PACINO capped another championship winning season for trainer Laurie Laxon when he sprang a big surprise to win the Class 3 - 1000m sprint in record-equalling time on the polytrack here today, the final day of the 2009 Singapore racing season.

It was the Kiwi's 95th win of the season and his sixth consecutive trainer's title in Singapore.

PACINO (Shinko King - Bittersweet by Grosvenor) covered the distance in 59 secs., matching the time set earlier in the year by LAGO BAY and equalled by NOBLE MANOR just last week.

Saimee Jumaat, despite missing the last couple of weeks of the season through suspension, retained the jockey's title with 99 wins, 13 more than he achieved last year.

Mark Ewe was the top apprentice for the second year running with 19 wins, three more than he recorded last year.

The new Singapore racing season resumes on Jan 1.
