Trade N Luck wins TAR Anniversary Cup again

PENANG,  9 May 2009

TRADE N LUCK captured the RM125,000 Tunku Abdul Rahman Anniversary Cup (1400m) for Malaysian breds for the second consecutive season here today.

In the process, the four-year-old humbled the topweight and odds-on favourite SUMMER FIESTA, winner of three Wira Malaysia Cup and the first Malaysian bred to earn more than RM1m in prizemoney.

TRADE N LUCK has been unplaced since his success in this race last year, until he showed up with a second to SUMMER FIESTA in the NSF Silver Plate in March.

TRADE N LUCK (Magic Of Money - Sarwell by Kala Dancer), ridden again by M Yusri, turned the table on SUMMER FIESTA when he came from behind to score by two lengths for his third win in 13 starts.

BLACK GENIUS (Speed Jaro - Frosty Lady Who by Ice Age) justified his favourite's tag when he easily accounted for eight rivals to win the first Penang heat of the 2009 Da Ma Cai Malaysia 3YO Championship over 1200m today. It was his second consecutive win in three starts. He paid RM6 for a win.
