3YO Challenge third leg to Given Vision

A brilliant ride by Joao Moreira saw GIVEN VISION scored a stylish win in the S$450,000 Singapore Three-Year-Old Challenge third leg over 1600m at Kranji here tonight.

The Stephen Gray-trained gelding did not contest the first leg over 1200m but proved too strong for his rivals in the second leg over 1400m three weeks ago.

On the strength of that showing, GIVEN VISION (Belong To Me - Aurum  Valley by Made Of Gold) was sent out a raging favourite in the Group 2 event tonight.

As in his last outing, GIVEN VISION was well back in the early running and was looking for a run in between horses at the home bend. He got his break at the top of the straight and charged home in between horses to win by one and a half lengths. RENIXUS finished second, ahead of the fast-finishing WAIPAPA.

GIVEN VISION brought his earnings to more than S$520,000 from five wins from six outings, including a bonus of S$50,000 for winning two legs of the Challenge.
