Budding apprentice Mohd
Yazid scored on two of his nominated riders and made full use of a chance
mount to register his first career hat-trick here today.
Yazid scored a runaway win
on newcomer PACIFIC PRINCESS (Pacific Prince - Bonhomie Gal by Bletchley
Park) in the NSF 3YO Maiden Stakes over 1100m on the straight course.
The win have PACIFIC PRINCE, a Group 1
winner of 12 races (Fruit N Veg Stakes twice) in Australia and 10 in the MRA
(including the Kranji Mile
twice) his first success at stud.
The filly is from his first
crop and was sold for RM47,500 at the National Premier Sale in 2007.
Yazid then replaced the indisposed LL Tai on
TRIPLE KWAN (Stormy's Son -
Amberghini by Rustic Amber) and promptly guided the hot favourite to his
maiden win in his second start.
Yazid then scored on another newcomer SLIPA
VISTA (Success Express - Pixies by Magic Ring). Both PACIFIC PRINCESS and
SLIPA VISTA are trained by his mater John McGillivray.
