Three good winners for Azhar and Coetzee

IPOH,  May 21, 2010

Although missing out on the first of three heats for the Da Ma Cai Malaysia 3YO Championship, trainer Kevin Coetzee and jockey Azhar Ismail combined to bring off a treble here today.

Overnight rain rendered the going heavy, but that did not stop the pair from winning the first two races with the aptly-named GOOD WINNER (Danzero - Zaraffa by Canny Lad), who showed up for the first time in 13 starts, and SUCCESS WINNER (Made Of Gold - Madam Hostess by Prego), who had two wins in 2006 but has not tasted success in the last three seasons.

The pair wound up the day with FLYING CAT (Tale Of The Cat - Miss Chakra by Marscay) who made it two wins in four starts.

The sole 3YO Championship heat today went to HUMBLE PRINCE (My Halo - Incanto by Magic Ring), ridden by leading jockey Noel Callow for trainer Leong Poh Keong.
