Trainer Steven Burridge
achieved a career best when he saddled five winners in a card of nine races
at Kranji tonight.
Burridge started the
winning on a superb note when he captured the first three races of the
evening with first time winners FLASH GORDON (Catbird - Kayzarana by
Generous) and BENJI'S PRIDE (More Than Ready - Elle Duccio by Danehill), and
a comeback win for LIM'S CONNECTION, a full brother to FLASH GORDON.
Vlad Duric, who rode
BENJI'S PRIDE and LIM'S CONNECTIONS, and Burridge went on to take the main
event of the evening, the Kranji Stakes A - 1600m event on DROVETTI (Mossman
- Clareta by Pauillac).
Burridge wound up the
evening with a comeback victory for BIONIC BOY (Falvelon - Pekan Lady by Sri
Pekan), who reeled off a hat-trick last year.
"I
owe a lot to my staff,” said Burridge. “They are all terrific workers and
without their help I would be here tonight. Everything fell into place and
luck was on my side tonight."
