Noel Callow regained the
lead in the jockey's premiership with a late double astride HUNDRED MILES
and DIRHAM at Sungei Besi here today, bringing his total for the four-day
meeting to seven.
Callow began the meeting
six behind, Azhar Ismail who drew a blank for the meeting, and is now one
winner ahead on 55 wins with just four racing days left. The tussle is sure
to go down to the wire.
HUNDRED MILES (Howbaddouwantit
- Pensar by Pentire), who finished down the field in two runs in Singapore,
is a much improved horse in Malaysia with a win and two seconds in six runs
to date. He was partnered for the first time by Callow.
DIRHAM (Fastnet Rock -
Crimson Sakura by Bite The Bullet), unplaced in his first nine starts, has
been improving with every run of late, coasting to an 3 1/4-length win for
his third consecutive win.
