Callow strikes back with a treble

KUALA LUMPUR:  Oct 30, 2010

Noel Callow, who returned to action in the local circuit with a treble last Saturday, repeated the feat when he booted home another three winners at Sungei Besi here today.

SUNCUMUPMUSTBET (Ombra Della Sera - Regal Chalice by Galveston), one of his three winners last week, completed a double for the meeting with another fine display over 1800m.

Then partnering SECRETARIAT PRINCE (Western Pride - Punkins Wild by Once Wild) for the first time, the pair romped to a four-length win in the Da Ma Cai Stakes.

OCEAN PRESENT (Lucky Owners - Kirin Lady by Luskin Star), another one of Callow's winners last week, also completed a double by taking the Tangs Stakes.

With the treble, Callow once closed the gap to leading jockey Azhar Ismail (51 wins) to five wins. Azhar, who landed five winners last Sunday, managed just two placings today.
