CLASS ACT continued her
splendid run of form to capture the Da Ma Cai Stakes for Class 4 horses over
2000m here today.
After just a win each in
2007 and 2008, the New Zealand mare has struck a purple patch from the end
of October to reel off four consecutive wins, three of them over today's
distance.
Ridden again by Cheng Han
Kok, CLASS ACT (Brocco - Classy Polly by Sky Classic) won comfortably by 1
1/4 lengths for her sixth win in 31 starts.
Meanwhile, champion trainer
Johnny Lim finally saddled his first winner of the season when CAPTAIN DE
LAGO (Encosta De Lago - Clifton Gardends by Mighty Kingdom) broke through
for his maiden win in four starts.
Lim completed a double when
FAST'S TIP (Brahms - Tipped by Cox's Ridge) returned to form to win the last
event of the day. It was the American gelding's fourth win in 14 starts.
