FANTASTIC FORTUNE, whose
only previous win was achieved over over 1700m here, triumphed over the same
course and distance in sensational fashion today.
Ridden by Jai Shankar, the
New Zealand entire by Centaine out of the Cozzene mare Confederate Colors
outclassed his Class 5 rivals to win by eight lengths.
It was the second win in 27
starts for FANTASTIC FORTUNE whose last win was achieved 22 months ago. For
Shankar, it was his first win on resuming riding after serving a three-month
suspension.
Former Singapore THINK
SMART showed up for the first time in 11 starts to created a huge upset in
the Da Ma Cai Stakes (Initiation - 1700m) to pay RM183, the biggest payout
of the season thus far.
