GOLDSCHATZ, ridden by
bang-in-form Vlad Duric, reeled of his fifth consecutive victory when he
captured the S$200,000 Fortune Bowl over 2000m at Kranji here today.
It was his second Group 3
success after his win in the inaugural Pronin Construct Stakes over 1700m on
the polytrack last December.
Duric, who earlier in the
day survived a fall on FASCINATOR, has now partnered GOLDSCHATZ (Pins -
Centri Belle by Centaine) in all his amazing run of successes which included
the Woodlands Classic over 2000m last time out.
After the race, Duric was
full of praise for his mount. "He
is such a genuine horse. He’s done a fantastic job. It’s never easy to win
five in a row, especially for a stayer."
