ANY HUMOUR sneaks up on the rails to capture the EW Barker

ANY HUMOUR, who won the Group 3 Chairman's Trophy in March last year to give trainer Michael Freedman his first group success in Singapore, bounced back in style to capture the Group 2 EW Barker Trophy over 1400m at Kranji here today.

The seven-year-old's recent form has not been encouraging except for a second to THUNDERING JET in the Chairman's Trophy last July.

But thanks to the application of blinkers and a superb ride by John Powell, ANY HUMOUR (Danewin - Damasta by Ogygian) was able to overcome a wide draw to win by three quarters of a length for a mild upset.

Winner of three races in Australia, ANY HUMOUR has now chalked up four wins in 18 outings in Singapore.
