Kimmui's Stable's home bred
gallopers KIM BAY and KIM DIVA gave the Sarawak owners a golden double in
the first Novelty meeting staged by the Selangor Turf Club to fill a void in
racing on weekends.
Both horses are bred by the
Chuas of Kummui's Stable in Western Australia and their home bred horses are
now starting to bring them honours on the track. Kimmui (golden gate) is a
direct translation of the birth place of the head of the Chua family in
China.
KIM BAY (Theatre - Kim
Hostess by Kingdom Bay) followed on her last start success to win a Class 4
- 1200m sprint while KIM DIVA (Theatre - Colour Me Kim by Is It True) made
it two wins in two starts when she took another Class 4 - 1200m sprint.
Trainer Mohd Sukri might
not on course, having taken a leave of absence, but his stable was on fire,
winning four of the ten races contested.
His other winners were
BEIJING HERO (Bianconi
- Smooth Royal by King Of Kings) and SWIFT STRONG (Towkay - Cajun Affair by
Tights).
The next Novelty meeting,
offering reduced stakes, will be staged in on May 15.
