Expensive imports EASY
JOCKEY and SPEED BABY, both owned by Golden Knight Stable, justified their
enormous price tag when they scored runaway wins in their respective debut
over the 1100m straight course here today.
EASY JOCKEY (Footstepsinthesand
- Passing Hope by Sadler's Wells) romped home by 5 1/2 lengths and SPEED
BABY (Fastnet Rock - Twisted Heart by Distorted Humor) won by four lengths,
both horse ridden by Azhar Ismail.
The Australian bred EASY
JOCKEY, whose dam is unraced, was offered at the New Zealand Ready To Run
Sale and owner Beh Chin Pheng went to NZ$120,000 to secure him.
SPEED BABY, whose dam won 3
races and was stakes placed, went under the hammer to Beh for A$280,000 at
the Australian Easter Yearling Sale, quickly easily his most expensive
yearling buy to date.
With these two youngsters,
and several others who has yet to race, Golden Knight Stable can look
