Although bred in Argentina and having won once in his native country before coming to Singapore, JAMAL MALIK finally scored on the polytrack after finishing down the field in his only two previous outings on the alternative track at Kranji.

In 10 previous starts in Singapore, JAMAL MALIK (Not For Sale - Capela Da Medalha by Salt Lake) had recorded four wins and two seconds on the turf track.

But ridden by Barend Vorster tonight, JAMAL MALIK proved that he has no issue with the polytrack as he cruised to a three-length victory in the Benchmark 89 - 1800m handicap and could be in the reckoning for the Derby comes July.
