It's two out three for
MOONLITE SHOWER when he scored a gutsy win in the Novice - 1000m sprint on
the polytrack at Kranji here tonight.
The only three-year-old in
the line-up made all the running, staving off a determined challenge by
LUCKYATSUCCESS to win by half-a-length after the runner-up looked to have
the measure of him at the 300m.
MOONLITE SHOWED (Hidden
Dragon - Donnatelle by Black Zephyr) thus made amends for his half-a-length
defeat at the hands of SIMPLY THE BEST last time out.
"I
thought he was beat, but I don’t think the other horse ever got past him. To
his credit, he fought back for a very good win,” said trainer Don
Baertschiger.
