Visiting Australian jockey
Daniel Moor, who picked up a chance ride on EASTERN BABY to register his
maiden win in Malaysia two weeks ago, tripled the score when he booted home
a double at Sungei Besi here today.
Moor got the afternoon off
to a winning start when he partnered last-start winner NEW POWER (My Halo -
Zingla by Danasinga) to victory in the Da Ma Cai Stakes (Class 4 - 1600m).
MOSERWOOD (Pleasant Tap -
Mission Park by Dixieland Band), placed in three of his first four starts
after arriving from USA unraced, got off the mark in a Class 4 - 1200m
sprint, thanks to a superb ride by Moor.
Meanwhile, Callow landed
his third winner of the weekend when he steered SMART VENTURE (Danasinga -
Seraphic by Imposing) to victory in the Novice - 1200m sprint. It was only
the second win in 16 starts for the five-year-old.
Callow now trails leading jockey Azhar
Ismail by just three winners with six racing days of the season left.
