Moreira one win away from hitting century

SINGAPORE:  Sep 24, 2010

Joao Moreira, who endured a rare weekend without booting home a winner last week, bounced back to the winner's circle when he partnered WHO ELS to victory in the Class 5 - 1600m handicap on the fibresand track at Kranji here tonight.

With that, Moreira is now one win away from hitting the magical century mark in his first full season of riding in Singapore, and within touching distance of breaking Noel Callow's record 107 wins set in 2007.

It was the second win in 20 starts for WHO ELS (Beautiful Crown - Luge by Mighty Avalanche) who has been consistent of late after struggling to find his form for more than one year.
