MY SON coasting to an easy win
in the main event tonight

Three-year-old MY SON (Hawk
Wing - Pekan Flight by Sri Pekan) made light of a top impost of 58kg to beat
a field of mostly older runners to win the Kranji Stakes C sprint over 1000m
on the fibresand at Kranji here tonight.
Ridden by Barend Vorster,
the Australian gelding made all the running to win by one length in a smart
time of 59.14 secs. for his fifth win in 14 starts.
CHILLI (Hussonet - Absolute
Lure by Lure) made it three wins in his last four starts with a runaway win
in the Class 4, Div 1 - 1200m sprint.
The A$170,000 purchase at
the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale got off to a slow start to his career,
breaking through only in his sixth start early last year. It was not until
last November that he found his winning form again.
However, at four CHILLI is just beginning
to show his true potential.
