Ntini captures Paititi Gold Trophy

NTINI, who won the Singapore 4YO Sprint last year, captured his second Singapore Group 3 when successful in the S$200,000 Paititi Gold Trophy over 1200m at Kranji here today.

It was a superb effort by NTINI (Johannesburg - Delia by Geiger Counter) who covered the distance in 1:9.26, just 0.26 outside the course record set by MEXICAN ROSE earlier this year.

Whereas MEXICAN ROSE carried only 51kg, NTINI had to shoulder 57kg in the handicap event.

NTINI was the horse who gave trainer Michael Freedman his first win in Singapore in June 2008. "This horse deserves a nice green paddock when he retires. Hopefully that won’t be too soon – no, he’s still got plenty of racing left in him!," said the Australian.
