Bradley lands maiden win in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR,  April 11, 2010

In his first visit to Malaysia, Aussie jockey Bradley Pengelly scored his maiden success on the final day of the Selangor Gold Cup meeting at Sungei Besi here today.

The 33-year-old had come close to winning once last week. But with NIGHT SHADOW (Hawk Wing - Octavia Belle by Octagonal), who has unplaced in four previous starts, Pengelly made no mistake although it was a hard earned victory with the winner prevailing by a head.

Pengelly, with more than 960 winners to his name, is among the top six in the Brisbane jockey's premiership this season.

Former Singapore galloper WORTH THE WAIT (Generous - Wait by All Glory) who scored back-to-back wins in Malaysia last year, regained his winning form to capture the Dato Ronald Khoo Teng Swee Trophy (Table 1 Race - 1600m).
